Established in 2003, Scott English School has been proudly serving the Kitamoto City community for over two decades. Owned and operated by Paul Scott and his wife, Shiho, our school was founded on a simple mission: to provide high-quality, personalized English education in a comfortable environment.
Meet Your Teacher
All lessons at Scott English School are personally taught by Paul Scott, who brings 33 years of professional English teaching experience in Japan.
Before moving to Japan, Paul worked as a business manager in the United States. Upon arriving in Japan in 1993, he spent a decade honing his teaching skills within a major Eikaiwa company and teaching at a local kindergarten. Driven by a passion for education and a desire to offer a better learning experience, Paul opened Scott English School in 2003. Originally located right in front of Kitamoto Station, the school moved to its current, permanent home in 2007.
The Scott English School Difference
We built this school to be fundamentally different from large, corporate Eikaiwa chains. Many big schools require students to purchase expensive ticket packages upfront, charge hidden fees for textbooks and building maintenance, or penalize you if you need to take a break or stop lessons.
We believe learning English should be simple and stress-free. Our student-first policy includes:
